Is there a need for more Cdn made AR parts?

If they are interested in the CGN logo, I will work on it - the beaver is a complicated artwork, it may not look good. it needs to work out.

I agree. Looking at the beaver that Dlask engraved on a lower makes me think that it is too complicated a design to look good without having colors to give clarity, which is not an option.
Looking at the sheer time to program would also be a deterrant, there are several hours involved in writing that program, and so far only 1 person has asked.
So I think this is 1 we will have to decline doing.

Rick,

EMT for deposit has been sent! :) How long do we have to decide about engraving, special additions to serial numbers, etc...? I'd possibly be interested in having the CGN logo or the Greek Molon Labe engraved, but would like to see final artwork before deciding if you know what I mean?

Programming for the CGN logo does not look viable, the clarity would just not be there.
Basic stuff like your greek writing will take about 1/2 hour to write the program for so would add $75.00 to the final cost.
Before commiting it to a lower, I would run it on a pc of scrap , and photo would be sent to you..

We have been totally stunned by the response and a bit overwhelmed at the number of orders.

In order to now get these into full production we are having to draw the line on how much custom engraving is going on. The 1s who have put their money where their typing fingers are, will get what they ordered exactly.
After the production of all the custom orders we have on the order sheet, we will start a production run that like the rest of the manufacturers will have a serial number in sequential order. Custom engraving will still be an option, at a quoted cost totally based on the time it takes to write the program.

I want to thank all who have shown the tremedous support for this project.
In al honesty I figured there may be a few guys interested, but this went well beyond our wildest dreams.

I would ask that all orders and correspondence be sent to me directly at
abtacrifle@shaw.ca as with the volume of lowers we now have to make a spreadsheet is being made directly from the email folder to make sure we get the all correct.

Thanks again to all
Rick

We had a CGN lower approved by GT, It should be around here somewhere? Zykopat had the pics? a quick search shows that the pics are no longer on the board. Maybe we can explore this option?

I would not say it is better, just different.
Looking at some forgings I have here, I can not see how they could make the integral trigger gard being as a forging is poured into a 2 pc mold that is then split to get the part out.

My preference is the trigger gard being part of the lower, thinking it may be stronger than the trigger bows that are held in with 2 small pins.

It really boils down to personal preference I think and whether you shoot with mittens on, being an old whussy I don't shoot in minus 35 any longer.

Do you have one made with the trigger guard, maybe mak eit shaped liked the Magpul enhanced trigger guard but built in.

Ya, Like OZZ said, What's the built in trigger guard gonna look like.. Magpul or LaRue? Is it possible to show a pic of the final finish before the $200 deposit

I guess this answers the question of weather this project is viable!! Rick you should really start another thread stating that you are making these lowers. A lot of guys still probably don't know about your lowers because they may have not read this thread. After all, there have been several of these types of threads recently....just my two cents.

Alpha numeric is ok, but just a word alone won't work

And some info from our sponsor:)

About the CGN logo issue -

1) the graphics must be provided by us and it will be a standard that cannot be deviated from

2)CGN media will require a loyalty payment for the use of our name and logo at the rate of 15 dollars per lower produced. The username of the purchaser will be made available to CGN.

3)The serial number of the lower must have "CGN" as a pre-fix or post fix, clearly separated from the rest of the serial number by a "-"

3)ATR will not directly charge the member for the royalty fee. The price of the lower with CGN logo must be the same as regular lower without CGN logo.

This was posted earlier.

This is EXACTLY what it will look like. Not sure whose it looks like however

Thats perfect IMO, Could I get it with this "Taliban hunting club" logo on the other side but instead of the center skull with crossed rifles just a more simple punisher style skull in the center?
