I just got off the phone with my dad and he told me that we soon wont be able to by the 25 round banana magazines for the 10/22 soon. At first he said they were going to be illegal so i called bulls**t, then he went on the explain the gun stores wouldn't be able to get them anymore, but you can still own the ones you have. I dunno if this is right, or maybe its just the one gun store or my area. The store was shooters choice in Kitchener. Anyone have any information on this?

Angry Saran wrap boxes and 'banana' mags for 10/22

I'm always careful repeating rumours overheard in gun stores; almost all are wrong. The laws haven't changed on .22 rifle magazines since Bill C68 was passed, and no one until you now has said the laws have changed.

Relax, breathe through the nose, put your ear muffs on and go shooting.

PS. If you have to have one, go buy it now. This way the store has your money to buy another shipment from their supplier.

Your in Kitchener, drive up to Al Simmons in Hamilton, they have a few smoke color, steel lips. And no, i wouldn't go rushing out in a panic.

It's more a matter of if the US will allow us to import any more...:(

Bingo! There is a lot of accesories Mags, Stocks,etc... the list is endless that the Canadian retailers CANNOT import into Canada. This list grows daily I would not be suprised if the importing/exporting laws and fees become so high one day nothing gun related will be flowing accross the border:mad:
Pete.....

shooters choice is NOT the best place for important facts. they told me that the AR 15 was gunna be prohib 2 years ago.

some of them know their stuff, the younger ones do but the older guys are full of #### some times. + there trying to justify $50+tax for the BC 25rds.

go to lovetts

I call BS. These things are a dime a dozen, and last I checked there was no USA export problems with rimfire accessories.

I find most rumors start as a result of marketing "ploys" on the side of the gun shops, ie: "We have a sweet crate of sniper rifles coming in for A-Stan, with notches in the stocks...better check back every week and bring your wallet" or "sorry, we can't ge those, because they are being re-directed to US military contracts" sounds better than " we didn't pay our last bill on time, so that exporter cut us off""

Sorry not just a rumor

The wonderful state Dept. of the USA is not allowing the export of these mags, out of the USA.
So if you think you will ever own a 10/22 you may want to buy a couple, and if you never use them you could show them to your grand children and tell them how great thing used to be. FS

I dunno, IMHO, Kel-Tec has found it a whole lot easier to sell domestically than bother trying to export here....:(

Does anyone know why I wouldn't be able to buy one of these from Russell Sports in Alberta? I am in Ontario myself.. I ordered two, and they left a message a few days later and told me that they can 'no longer export them'.

Out of Alberta?

P & D won't return my email either :/

the US STATE DEPARTMENT WILL NOT ALOW THEM TO LEAVE THE US TO COME TO CANADA. THIS HAS NOTHING TO DO WITH CANADAS LAWS.

37.95 + tax for BC steel lips, two weeks ago.

also paid 39.00 US (when dollar was high) for a TI composite, far superior in quality IMO.
