No more 25 rounds magazines for sale?

$25.00 about 10 years ago. Still sitting in the package. I had a plastic lipped version before that, found it to be cumbersome? I've bought a pailfull of 10 rounders since, nothing has made me want to open that package yet though...

mags

I personally have a good supply, and a few weeks ago I checked with a local shop that has them, they were 34 bucks a year ago. They are now 45 tax in. I could go and buy a bunch and resell them, but with shipping, not too many guys are going to want to pay that kind of money, and I would need to make something for my time. A week ago I went to my local C-Tire and bought the 2 BC mag loaders they had, I understand they will become hard to get as well. I am going to check with a fellow I know in the US and see if he could send mags personally. Should be no laws against that. Later.

Exporting is still exporting no matter who does it.

oops, joe nailed it:)

laws

There are 2 certain companies in the US that I have dealt with that send gun parts to Canada. If you order from them, they will send parts that normally require export permits yet they can send them. On the package it reads, "machined parts". It is all in the wording. BTW, why is it that there are so many posts that critisize others but have nothing to do with the original posters' question?

In the US when they say Hi Capacity magazines they include ALL mags, including 22's.

It is only Canada where there is a distinction between centrefire and rimfire mag capacity.

You may recall that the recently expired Assualt Weapon Law banned sale of all hi cap mags, (over 10 rounds) including all 22 rimfire mags.

The US is not allowing EXPORT of hi capacity magazines.

So you are saying they are illegally exporting a controlled device. When they get caught it will cost them at least $1,000 per magazine they have illegally exported plus legal fees.

no names

I just checked on their website, they have none to send even if they could. Looks like everyone is in the same boat. Parts for rifles are only parts until they are put in one. Unfortunately, the government doesn't see it that way. I inquired with Green Mountain about getting blank barrels, and was told that it is still a barrel. In raw form, it is no more dangerous than a lead pipe, and not too many people have the capability of turning that raw pipe into a usable barrel. But that is a nother matter. I will not make any more mention of suppliers, you never know when the powers that be are watching and the last thing I want is to get them in trouble. It looks as if someone here in Canada may have to design and start building mags and other parts for our favorite rifles. Relying on the US for all this stuff is not the answer. Later.

From Brownells catalog re. HighCaps
Take it for what you like...

High Cap Mags:

International Sales - High capacity Magazines, which hold more than 10 rounds of ammunition, are currently Restricted items that can ONLY be sold internationally to Military or Law Enforcement agencies. We will ask for Proof of end-user through the DSP-83 form.

Now, to sit back and wonder what the status of 10+ tubular magazines will be, for US citizens, in the coming months....

the US STATE DEPARTMENT WILL NOT ALOW THEM TO LEAVE THE US TO COME TO CANADA. THIS HAS NOTHING TO DO WITH CANADAS LAWS.

A post about rumors, and you guys continue making more rumors. here is the tac Inc post for all of you, they mean that because of the election, US citizens are buying everything they can, which means they have none left for us right now, and when they get a handle on the current orders, maybe they will ship to us again, no where in that message does it say that due to legal reasons we can NEVER ship to Canada again. Now does it? If Tac Inc cannot supply their own citizens right now with enough product, Canadian needs are not high on their list of things to do right now, a ban has nothing to do with it since no such thing exists.

Funny how these same rumor type posts keep popping up every month because of he said she said type of thing, give it a rest already.

This isn't a post about rumours, it is about facts and you happen to be the one spreading rumours. Satisfying demand in the US and obtaining export permits for high capacity mags are 2 completely different things. They were letting rimfire mags through, but they tightened their interpretation so now they require an end user certificate for ALL hi cap mags.

If you want to get more "opinions" just check with the clerks behind the counter at almost any gun store......... They are always full of "facts"

BTW, hi cap rimfire mags shipped from any other country would be OK.

i wonder if major firearm manufacturers will ever decide to start up some plants up here in Canada....

sounds like it might soon become cost effective....

I wonder if CanAm could convince some of their friends/business partner in either China or Israel to produce something like the TI25 magazine...

(Next thing you know, we might see some knock-off short barrel 10/22's  )

Don't panic.

For now the problem is not if we can import or no, the problem it's is crazy on USA with new election and 80 % rifle and accessories are back order for 2 or 3 months.

We going to the Shot Show, may be we find like mike say some other company in other country.

We work for that !
