Hey guys, looking for a bipod for my AR. Would like a folding one, preferably one that attaches to my pickitinny rail. Don't have a clue which ones are good:confused: Any thoughts?? Couldn't see one from any of our sponsers, can anyone recommend where to get one for a decent price

Is this what you need? PM me if you want one.

call Walter @ arms east, I just bought a harris 6-9in one that swivles, It is light and the adapter I got for it has one button to push and it comes off.
really nice product and great service

The Harris with a small adaptor for a pic rail is the best setup I've found (including the Vltor/TD setup Satain mentioned). It also has lots of little places to get stuff caught on, so not great for pushing through heavy brush with a sling draped over your plate carrier - but if you're shooting off of a bench or open ground, no problem.

Go for a GG&G extreme duty bipod. No springs to snag on stuff, durable and very slick. It's the only bipod that goes on my ARs. The wait is long to get one from Wolverine's, but it's worth it.

The newly re-designed GG&G Extreme Duty Bipod with swiveling capability now offers a greater range than previous versions. In addition to a stronger pivot mechanism, the new folding AR-15 bipod design affords 25 degrees of cant in either direction of center. Not only does this increase better rough terrain adjustability, but this pivoting capability allows the deployed bipod leg to be used as a vertical foregrip if required for rapid transition. In addition, a tension mechanism and adjustment knob has been added so that the operator does not need tools to make tension adjustments to the swivel.

The GG&G Tactical Bipod for the AR15 and M16 is specifically designed and manufactured to meet current military requirements. It is exceptionally rugged. It will not only withstand extreme environmental conditions from -55 degrees Fahrenheit to +155 degrees Fahrenheit, but be operational under those conditions. With the bipod legs deployed it will withstand the military's three foot drop test onto a concrete floor while mounted to an AR15/M16 or M4 carbine and maintain full battle capability.

Manufactured from aircraft grade 6061 T6 aluminum alloy with extreme duty connection points and fasteners, this quick detach swiveling bipod is still remarkably lightweight at only 11.5 oz.

Features include a 7" to 9.5" height adjustment when measured from the dovetail attachment, silent deployment, fully adjustable legs with thumbnut adjustments and grip tight foot pads. All of the AR15 rifle bipod's aluminum parts are bead blasted and Type III hard coat anodized per mil-spec in a non- reflective matte black combat finish. The quick-release bipod is equipped with a MIL-STD-1913 rail adapter that does not require tools for installation. GG&G's gun bipod will also attach to any rifle with a 6 o'clock under barrel MIL-STD-1913 or Weaver type rail.

...nice looking rig. Went on Wolverine's website, couldn't find a price. How much was it??

Marstar have some,...I was pleased and surprised with mine. Works great,...locks in place and folds up and down,..each leg is adjustable for height. It is a little heavy,..but for the cost I am not complaining.

remarkably lightweight at only 11.5 oz.
Here are the weights:
Vltor bipod (10.8oz)
GG&G (11.5oz)
Tango Down bipod 15.7oz
Harris 12.78oz + adaptor

the Vltor is the clear winner, the only downside is the lack of adjustable cant (and price). I think the Harris + adaptor is the least expensive, especially since you can find them used in the Exchange forum.
