I just purchased a Lee enfield off a member and he sent me a pic and I haven't gotten a chance to get back to him. I haven't recieved it yet and I was wondering if anybody on here could take a guess what type and where was made. I think it looks like a No1 mk3 but I don't know much about LE's. Thanks, Blake

It is a sported No. 1 Mk. III*. The information about where and when will be under the bolt handle on the butt socket.

I doubt he sent it yet, I just sent the payment Friday, I can't wait to get it....I think I got a really good deal, but I don't really know what the going prices for these rifles are right now. I Just like the fact I can get factory ammo easily, unlike my Mosin Nagant. I hate using surplus and don't plan on using it in the LE.

My guess is that you paid a fair price. Weimarjack doesn't overprice what he sells in my experience.

Careful, these Enfields are addictive :D

I think this Enfield might just be the start of a fair size collection. I'm on a budget and it was priced right. I heard these things are quite accuate for what they are. Let's just say I paid less than I did my Mosin, and I got that for $119.00 last fall

Have you considered reloading your own ammo?...this is an interesting aspect of the hobby...you could even cast your own lead bullets and experiment small loads for plinking under 100M range...fun stuff.
