What's Hot and What's Not

.270 WSM 160 grn. Remington Premier Accutips worked well on 1 out of two 45" bulls. Shot placement was poor for one and the bullets lost alot of weight...still led to a speedy death. On the other hand...2 out of 2 shots went straight through the other bull...magical thing that bullet placement is...

8/10:shotgun:

.270 weatherby vanguard, shoots great, heavy, which I dont mind but this is the first gun I ever owned without a clip.I guess Im old school but I would never buy another gun that doesnt come with a clip.

Rage 3 blade slipcam broadheads worked awesome. Quick killing heads. Left a blood trail that stevie wonder could follow.

Also the 150 gr sierra gamekings worked awesome as always.

Slick Trick Magnum 100grs on my arrows worked like magic. Field point accuracy out to 90yds, and huge damage and penetration. Leupold 10x50 Olympic binos; still the great work horse for the money. Still out on the Bergers for a hunting bullet. 4 great performances, 2 not so great. Verified that the shots were good, but no expansion. Bark River knives are the best production knives I've ever seen or used; Bravo-1 did excellent serviced this fall. Wrangler tires are junk. I already knew that though. Bowtech Guardian is the best bow I've owned to date. Stupid easy to shoot. Leupold Scopes still do it for me. Accurate adjustments, clear glass, rock solid performance with at great warranty you nearly never have to use. You can keep the German stuff. Victorinox butchering knives are the best buy for the money. We butchered 13 deer in 10 hours and never complained once (about the knives:p). Canadian is still gross beer (but it was free!). Good season all round though.

Despite some saying otherwise Federal Blackcloud BBB work very well on geese even at 50 yards. Old Remington Brand Hevi-shot stones them at 60 but lots of luck and maybe a little skill is required. Drake EQ-Wader Est work very well even in the snow. Avery Power hunter layout blind works great excellent blind for any price. The new dog is useless right now but he'll be ready(hopefully) for next season.

It is a plastic tool designed to be used in preparing the deers arse when gutting it. You just push in in turn it and pull it out. Then all you do is tie off the intestine and cut it off. When removing the guts the tied end pulls back through the deer without spilling it contents... Saves the old reaming and trying to pull it out with your fingers and tying.

regards, Darryl

You mean you don't split the pelvic bone?

my mind must be in the gutter. can you tell me what a butt plug puller is?

So... in other words it's probably exactly, or worse than, what you were imagining while your mind was in the gutter!:runaway::D

Cabela's Guide Model Fanny Pack - good if you are over 6', otherwise shoulder straps can't be shortened enough. Pack rides well, is easy on the back, carries a lot of gear and has enough internal pockets to keep small items organized.

I bought a set of Vortex Diamondback Series 8x42 binocs from Doug @ Camera Land. Price was $129.99US

Very pleased with both product and service.

Moultrie IR 6.0

Tried out a trail cam for the first time this year. For the most part it worked great, actually had a pic of a young buck not 1.5 hours after I set it up. Definately add another to the arsenal for next year.

New aluminum snow shoes,worked great.
Best purchase was federal Turkey loads with the flight control wade.Put all in a 8" circle at 20 yards.I would recommend you try them.
