Bore cleaner

Not sure if I am correct but I just insert the tube in the chamber end, squirt till it comes out the muzzle and let it sit for 1/2 hour. Then clean out with a patch. Sure works well for copper fouling, I was having trouble getting my .270 clean till I used this.

How do you prevent it from coming back into the chamber?

i dont use that little tube that comes with it.
What I do is, open the floor plate, stuff a bunch of paper towel in there, then give the can a shot into the end of the barrel. Quickly put my finger over it so it doesnt come out, and watch the foam expand its way up the inside of the barrel until almost at the chamber. Then remove your finger from the end of the barrel.

I've talked to a few other people and the other way one person does it is; stand the gun on the muzzle in a plastic bucket. Using the tube, spray foam into the gun from the chamber side. Apparently all the crud comes out the bottom of the barrel and into the plastic bucket.

I've never tried this method since I dont want to chance my gun falling over and being damaged.

Don't spray the foam from the crown of the barrel down, spray from within the chamber down the barrel. Try and be conservative with the foam as well.

If you are getting mixed results, I suggest trying a dewey rod, Hoppes #9 solvent and cleaning pads; works everytime.

1st off I love the stuff :dancingbanana:
1st bottle had a little tube you slipped into the chamber & held gun on end till foam came out muzzle, I then stood gun on muzzle in a corner, on a rag for 15-30 minutes. Next bottle (couldn't get a repeat of 1st stuff) just had a little spout sort-of that you were supposed to put on muzzle  never even tried it, went & got a little chunk of clear plastic fuel line slipped it over & inserted into chamber & away we go again :)

Do it from the chamber end. A little practice and its no sweat.Once you go past .40 it gets tougher to keep it from backing up. You want to see clean, leave it over night. Use a tight brush in the morning then finish up as normal. Never clean at the range anymore.

Wipeout brand.. Used Barnes bullets in my Gustav 300 wm and it made one hell of a mess. I had copper fouling so bad it looked like the barrel was pitted and gouged. Hoppe, accubore etc. would not touch it. WIPEOUT into the barrel a few times, leaving it there to soak, all gone , clean as a whistle,. You can fill the barrel as mentioned above and let it rest on one side for first application the next application leave it lay the opposite side. Repeat as necessary..Improved accuracy as well..You can tell if it's clean by the amount of "blue" on cleaning rag..
