Got a Norconia (yes Norconia not Norinco) nickel plated 1911 from Marstar last week, and its awesome. Had great service/help from "Johnone" during my ordering and waiting period.

Had it out to the range on the weekend and I liked it a lot. Excellent looking gun with the nickel plating, and skeletonized hammer/trigger even a decent factory grip. Functioned great even in the cold and damp wind.

Would highly recommend anyone looking for a nice looking affordable pistol get in touch with Johnone/Marstar. I am even considering picking up a Two tone 1911 now!

Yeah i was gunna say, I cant find one on there :)

Here's a direct link & pic:

I still need the temperature in Calgary to get higher than absolute zero, before I'll get to try mine. Figures that the day I get it, is the same day the snow and cold comes. :(

Actually no it doesn't say "made in China"

It only says

Norconia Germany
1911A1

And the serial number obviously

If you get a chance please post pics, stripped / assembled...thanks:cool:

Here are some stripped/assembled pics. Camera's a bit old and that was the best I could get with or without a flash.

Couple things to note

It was just cleaned, and oil added to moving parts so there are a couple excess oil smudges.

The grey marks are where I masked the serial numbers.

Doesn't say made in China, Comes with Skeletonized hammer, and trigger, extended mag release, Nikel finish.

The only things I would change are the sights and maybe a lightend trigger

Worth the $50 extra over the Norinco two tone in my opinion.
