Nice build indeed.

I can't imagine shooting that piece of garbage. How in the WORLD do you get close enough to see through the scope without catching the bolt in the face?

Anyone who built that should have their peepee slapped. What's the point?

Ahh wait - I'm guessing it's not a semi. (lack of gas tube... missed that at first!).. even then, why mount a rifle scope on a pistol...

Lmao

Thanks for the rude reaction guyz. Not a problem.

Of course it is ugly, but it shoots. That is a 100 yard group with common hunting ammo. And the scope..............It is a Simmons LER model that is made for shooting pistols at arms length.

That old piece of junk box pistol made a fair few gun rags in its day. All I did was build it to a friend's specs. The objective was a pistol that would not offend the ATF, while working well for the long range portion of the Smith & Wesson Master's Match in 1984.

The frame is a worn out Essex. The barrel is a 1 in 8" Krieger, and was the aftermath of an idiot sticking a bullet in an AR barrel near the gas port. All parts are enjoying a second life. Magazine fed and manually operated.

It really is a dream to shoot. Mainly because it has a trigger to die for. Actually one of the greatest varmint truck guns I've ever had, and a show-and-tell bench pistol out of west hell.:runaway:

1911/ar

The bolt works as in a normal AR. Push it until it stops. At this point it is fully locked. Before being cammed into battery, it will not fire.

Operation of the bolt for a right hander was with thumb and left index finger. Open the bolt with the index finger and close with the thumb. Quick and simple.

This old pistol has seen much use and was chambered for a variety of cartridges. Some I recall were 6PPC, 7MMT, 6X45 and .223.

Thankyou. I would have to say the main factor is lighting. Those are taken in front of a window with a single light source (sun/cloud).

My AR build.
