Friend of mine made me a set of grips for my son (Bear)

Should look pretty nice on his 1911a1

Thought some of you might like to see them

The gent that made these does custom work on knives and grips as a side line and is one of the very best.

Had his gun on my workbench today so I slipped the grips on long enough to take a picture for all the 1911 fans.

Nice work. I have a piece of elephant ivory I am saving for a set of grips of knife scales. (Legal, Vet/Export Certificates, was broken off elephant and found under a log in the mud during a NG production.)

Funny but it says colt on the slide and on the frame.
