10 rnd ar mags

Can you use 10 round mags in the bush, say in a tavor or xcr, or are they only able to be used at ranges?

If you are using them for hunting purposes, check with your provincial DNR. Different provinces have different magazine limitations for purely hunting purposes. If you are simply going to a nearby gravel pit to shoot some targets, you're probably good to go. Hunting deer, varmints, etc...check the hunting regs before so that your butt is covered! You don't want a $3K rifle seized by a Conservation Officer because of a mag!

5 rounds in Ontario if you are somewhere where wild game animals can be found (ie not at a range). Technically, if you can prove you weren't hunting you'll be ok (but again, BAD IDEA). 5 rounds centerfire is the max for centerfire hunting in ontario.

In Manitoba, anywhere but hunting. You're restricted to 5 rounds.

TBQH if you put 5+ rounds in a deer your 70lb meat off the hoof is going to dwindle down to maybe 10 pounds. One shot in the heart/lungs guarantees maximum meat.

However if you're planning on hunting something else (coyote for example) I guess 5 in a coyote doesn't matter. (unless you want to sell the pelt)
