Stoner SR-15

Certainly kudo's to Mark for bringing them in. The SR15E3 to me is a best value in a AR15 system.

Biggest hurdle with the SR25 series is the Mk11 and M110 are "weapons of war" so they cannot be exported except for LE/MIL. The SR25 Battle Rifle 16" is not a civilian sale weapon -- currently. Last week I spoke with Trey Knight and Dave Lutz about a SR25E3 - and hopefully within the next year it will come to fruition...

I only saw one post about criticising the gun......

....... black rifle people that have done their homework can surely appreciate this offering......

Where is the post that criticises the rifle?

Black Rifle people that have done their homework can surely discern value for dollar....is this it?

Obviously you haven't got a clue about these guns and the hoops you need to jump through to get first class parts.

Obviously?? I am under qualified to judge an AR. Like I said, to me 27 Sling points doesn't make a better rifle.

The I can't afford one so its overpriced (you are gouging) crowd is in full force.

...

Crowd?

Alot of info came out about these guns, very informative, makes me want to get one even more.

The intent of this thread was that I was surprised to see them go so fast, I didn't expect them to be around for long, but <24hrs
especially given that these were going for 3,500$ (well worth it :D by the way) but not exactly pocket change.

Thanks Mark.
Those that bought them need to post pics when they are all dressed up (lucky bastards ;))

Is select fire the only difference between the originals and the E3??

[*]The fact that these guns sold out in under 24 hours speaks for itself;

Today 9 people thought the guns were a bargain and snapped them up without hesitation... the tenth gun is mine and since people are already asking me if there are any more I guess I also agreed that it was worth $3,999 since I'm turning down that amount so I can keep one for myself.

Mark ;)

Almost missed the boat on this one. Questar's "Whats New" page is my new homepage.

It is kind of scary when you thank a store and consider it a favour when they do business with you.... what is that all about??

Not many people out there go above and beyond like Mark. Its not really a favour, just great service. Theres nothing scary about that - unless you're his competition.

No, the E3 refer to the bolt design specifically -- there has been no E3 7.62 guns as of yet.

Keep in mind KAC's M110 rifle, M4 and M5 RAS, Suppressor, and Night Vision system production is keeping the company at 100% production right now up till the end of 2009 into 2010.

Several machines are setup to do SR15 rifles - and some SR16's - all the 5.56mm guns and the 6mm PDW are in the E3 bolt. In 5.56mm the SR16's are select fire - and the SR15's are the semi auto version.

The SR25 Battle Rifle was built as the request of a US Mil customer - and some demo models have been done in Semi - but no production runs.

Do you know if the PDW is a civy offering ??

So KAC has not moved all their forend rail systems to URX ? I would have thought that URX II with a user installable design would have obsoleted the RAS.

There was some discussion about a civilian PDW release - however it would need to be a pistol - as currently there is a no-SBR to civilian guideline to streamline paperwork.

The US MIL still has huge orders, as does FN and Colt for the M4 and M5 RAS, and while KAC would love to streamline production, MIL requirements rule the roost.

The FF RAS and RAS MRE have no recent production scheduled - however outside Mil (Colt /FN) rail orders all other rail production is for complete guns (SR15E3, M110, Mk11Mod2 etc)

Had some time to take out my SR-15 E3 yesterday. Put 150+ rounds of WWB 55gr FMJ down range. This is one fine AR. Very, very happy with it.

Yes... They certainly are. :D

I was looking at optic mounts(gonna need something good to put the NF 1-4 in). With the limited availability of LaRue and ADM, are the KAC pieces good(and even available up here?)

How was SHOT Kevin? I imagine you did more business than observing....
