I'm looking for a wheelgun and felt in love with the M&P revolver. I didn't find a lot of infos so I'm asking if I could get some feedback here. Is it a good shooter out of the box? Reliable? Easy to get?

thanks!

If you are talking the Mod. 10, it is one fine revolver. Try to look for one in the D series and not the C so you have the +P option.

I've only fired about 50 rounds through it so far but I love it. Hopefully RePete chimes in, as he's been out with me and fired it and this is my first/only revolver.
That said, some accessories are non-existant. Moon clips are readily available, speedloaders not so much. The only holster I know of is from Bladetech, and that's without anything on the rails (I don't plan on using them anyways).
That said, I put my X300 light on it just to check fit and there were no problems.
The trigger is a bit heavy, but very smooth double action. When manually cocked, the single pull is very light and crisp.
I really like the gun personally.

Other than the heavy trigger, and I'm going to fix RobAK's and show him how to maintain it, it's excellent. Accurate, sharp looking, I like it.

Just be aware that, as it comes from the factory, it will not 'ignite' all manner of regular factory ammunition or factory primers.
I was told that this shortcoming 'could not be rectified', and that it was a matter of me finding what ammo 'would work and stick to that brand'.
WTF?! This was the pistol's distributor's answer to my concerns over my issues.
I find that this is a bit humorous, considering that this was a firearm that was supposed to be used as a 'shield gun' by high risk units...i.e. it was supposed to work 'come hell or high water', and that was the reasoning for using a revolver over a semi-auto.
I'm not using this gun in 'high risk entries', but I would have expected that this gun would have been designed to work flawlessly, whatever it was fed.
My bad....I continually learn what the literal meaning of 'assume' is....
Makes an 'ASS' out of 'U' and 'ME'.
Other than that, it had great handling appeal, but once the 'ammo issue' was raised.....didn't want it anymore....and to the dealer's credit, they took it back and gave me a full credit against something that wasn't so 'finicky'.
YRMV......

Trust me, as from the factory, it will ignite CCI primers.
