It's not too often that Canada Post removes cracks from rifle stocks.. Usually it is the other way around!

Nice score. Let us know how she shoots :D

Been pawing over this thing all morning .Can't believe how good shape it is .
Trade Ex list them as only good condition They are far better than just good shape . I only hope the 2 referb SKS's I have coming my way are this good .

It seems the Russians took pretty good care of their rifles...I suspect at these prices a lot more people are going to own them...more people to compete with for ammo...

Maybe he ran out of the cracked ones. :) that is a good score I just got one of the non cracked and it is non cracked. I am very happy with it too. Very good shape. Stock is virtually ding free except the one I put in it. They are quite soft. At the range I managed about 1.5 inch at 50 and 3-4 at 100. Funny thing is I would have 3 shots all close to touching and 2 would open it up. Recoil was light. Had to set the gas port to 1.5 to get reliable extraction of czech slvtip.

I managed to score an SVT-40 bayonet for $160 & felt lucky. They are scarce & I don't know why. Perhaps one of the experts can educate us.

I got mine for around the same price, it is the most than I have ever spent on a bayonet. There does not seem to be any more at that price though.

Ya but my question is why ? Did the Russians destroy them ?

I don't know what they did with them, but I doubt they destroyed them.

Perhaps...
Troops walked off with them.
They were left inside Nazis.
Put aside for a rainy day or stashed away by an importer so they can slowly cash in on some suckers.

:D
