yah very true, i remember that the mk23 was a bit more of a 2x4 than the usp . also the usp tact in 45, is muh less $$$ and easier to find.
 
i own one and i quite like it. even found a safariland 6004 holster for mine. i have freakishly large hands so it wasnt a problem for me.

i bought mine used. time code is AD

ya but once they got them, i heard they slowly started to not like them. i also heard somewhere they actually dont make them anymore. theres just a huge stock load in some german warehouse.. kinda like what they did with the p7m8's they stopped making both around the same time. and theres a whole bunch of both that they will leak out into the market from time to time.

dont quote me on this .but i read this somewhere, i think on the hkpro forums.
 
It may be a bit big but it's lighter than a typical 1911 and it's probably built to be tougher than any other pistol in existence.

I'm certainly planning to get it one day.

read it somewhere, im pretty sure hkpro forums.. i frequent there quite a bit. wasnt the only place i believe i got the info from. if i come by it ( and im trying to dig up the thread) i will post a link here. its something fairly recent too,

but keep in mind you cant believe everything you read on the net. i again state dont hold me to that info. im just relaying something i read. but it kinda makes sense because it was mostly due to the size, and mag cap.

btw , im not saying its a bad gun . i just dont believe the gun is worth the money.
