Wow. I made out like a bandit this year, on top of the SKS I got the Mosin-Nagant 91/30 too! I came down this morning and my wife had it propped up against the wall with a bow on it and some ammo. She did good :) You really can't see it but the date on it is 1943. Battle of Stalingrad anyone? Sighs... one can hope. Also the bayonet matches the serial number.

Looks in great shape. if you dont mind me asking, where did she happen to find it, and do they have any more?

Lol. My FFL here in town. It's the only guy I buy from anymore, and she knows that as well too. He's my best kept secret as he operates on word of mouth only. So he always has stuff.

Pro2A, is that a bayonet scabbard for the 91/30 in the top pic?

If so, it's the first one I've ever seen. Very few seem to have survived.

It eh bayo serial matches the rifle, it may not have been refurbed either, another bonus.

Here's a Finnish scabbard, looks like the one in the photo:

The Russians didn't issue scabbards for the Mosin Nagant bayonet. They just kept them fixed all the time.
