Hey guys I need a little help here. I just picked up a 7mm-08 and I have a ton (quite literally) of 308 brass. How do I resize this brass to work in my new rifle? I think I understand the process of just running the brass into the 7mm full length resizer, but what about case neck wall thickness? Will I need to ream the neck? If I do, what is the best way/equipment to do this? OR, am I better off to just buy a couople hundred pieces of 7mm-08 brass and skip this process altogether?

Thanks! :)

Measure neck diameter over a seated bullet. This will tell you if any neck turning or reaming might be necessary.

i have never had to turn the necks on 308 brass. most factory chambers are quite generously sized. the 308 brass will be a little shorter than 7 08 but after a couple of firing it will be good. if you have a 308 try to use a different manufacturer for your 7 08 brass then its easy to sort. i ued lapua for 308 and hornady for 7 08, no mix ups.

no reaming or turning required, binderdoindat. The diff in bullet diameter is only 0.62 mm. on the initial resize if you're doing a large batch you may wanna eat breakfast first.
