Being a cheap bugger and mostly loading pretty light cast bullet loads I bought a can of Tightgroup the other day. Haven't loaded any yet thou so I'm not sure what the results will be.

Also have some Lilgun for the 22 hornet that I can use for mag loads should I feel I need some. Been using blue dot till now with good results.

2400 gives me excellent accuracy with cast and jacketed, and all the velocity I need.

FWIW, I have yet to find a pistol/bullet that shoots really well with H110. I know it's possible, but I've never seen it happen;-)

In my heavy cast bullet loads I use H-110 exclusively with up to 325gr. bullets, for light target loads with jacketed bullets i use Trailboss.

I have been using Titegroup since last year. Works great for light or heavy loads 240gr lead.

i have 2 custom 44 mags by yours truly. one on a savage
bolt action with a montana barrel.
the other is a martini with a ron smith stainless barrel.
for both guns i use winchester 240 gr jhp bulk bullets.
for me H110 my most accurate. this group is typical at
100 meters. oh these barrels are 1 in 20 twist.

I think the formulation of 2400 must have changed since the Elmer Keith days because the new Alliant manual max's out at 18.7 grs of 2400 for the 240 gr jsp but my 1960's Sierra manual STARTS at 19.5 grs and max's out at 23.3 grs 2400 for the 240 gr jsp.I have good managable groups with 18.5 grs of 2400 under the 240 gr XTP bullet and great groups with ten grs Unique under my 240 gr cast lead swc's gas cap bullets.
