The "receiver" (a.k.a. frame) is forged aluminum alloy. It is the slide that's stamped and welded, with a pinned breech block. Newer (i.e. manufactured in the last 10 years or so) P220s have a solid stainless steel slide.I had a P220 stainless with glow sites, muzzel flip was just too much!
And I really didn't like a roll stamped reciever with pinned in fireing control group!
I Would rather go something else!
Bonest:
If it's a newer P220 with a stainless slide, I would only buy it if it had an external extractor. Sig has been having problems with internal extractors lately (older stamped slide West German guns with internal extractors were okay).what you guys think about a sig p220 (blued) in a 45cal and what think is a good price for one in good shape with 600 to 700 rounds throught it
