Winchester Model 70 "UPDATE"!

Northwoodslivin,

In 1992 Winchester became U.S. Repeating Arms Company with the new management. In 1993 they introduced the Model 70 Heavy Varmint, synthetic stock, heavy barrel to their M70 line.

Not sure if this is exactly what you have as I can't find any pics, but judging by the injection molded stock and shiny bolt (IIRC-the Stealths had matte black bolts) a good bet.

Cheers.

Hows she shoot? You we're saying it likes heavy bullets? really? do you know the barrel twist? I would greatly appreciate it if you could get back to me with more details on yours so I may know more history about mine and what it is capable of :)

I would also be very interested to see what it says in the barrel channel of your stock, wonder if it say's M70 Varmit Police as mine does. Please give me more details :D how it shoots group wise, what grn of bullet is best at X number of yards, barrel twist, perhaps some history as to the year it was made "looks like ours are not that far apart in age" etc etc. take a picture of it and post it to this thread if your willing :D
