I am not really turned on by them.

I wouldn't spend my money on one. I like more traditional looking firearms but that's just me.

I've always liked this concept, but have not yet owned one of the [several ]aftermarket alloy stocks.
Not yet!

There are two Chinese 14s with these stocks for sale in the EE.
Marstar and Milarm both sold them, and rumor has it that Milarm supposedly is waiting for more???

PS: To my knowledge, there are, at this time, two other CANADIAN outfits looking at making alloy M-14 stocks. Plus I am working on a Do It Yourself alloy stock, that should cost less than $100 for materials, and take about a day with a chop saw, a table saw, and a drill press.

One of these days I'll surprise the WetCoast M-14 group and bring it over for a looksee.

I have one, a 1st gen model. Freaking heavy  ! Great platform overall, wonderful adjustments for the most part, but the weight is something else.

If my 2nd ever shows up, I'll have to think a bit on how I want her stocked. Thinking of having the barrel lopped to 18.5"ish and threaded for a MB. After that, I don't know......

(E)

I use my M14 in the winter so metal stocks/chassis don't appeal to me as I want the skin on my fingers to stay where it is. There are plenty of really cool non-metal stocks around, so I don't feel deprived at all, living in an environment where a metal stock just isn't an option.
