Firstly...I'm telling y'all I'm not cheap.
But holy crap.... $97.50 + 1.24 on the exchange rate, that makes it almost $125 then they want $20 USD to ship. (Up to $145 now) Then theres friggen duties and the GST when it gets here.
Looking at around $175 for a $100 mount. :(

From what I have seen and read, the ARMS mount is better, more solid and you are buying "local." My .010.

ARMS #18

Wolverine Supplies usually stocks them...not sure about anyone else. If you think $170 is too much, you may not touch an ARMs mount, and you won't get near a Smith Enterprises mount for at least $300. Can't help you to much beyond those two.

We have a mount coming out that will be much better then those mentioned in the $300 price range. You should wait :D

$300??? I wouldn't look at a mount that cost that much. I wouldn't even consider buying it.
No, I'm looking at the under $100 mounts. Marstar lists (a 3 point mount) one at $89.95, its a picatiny mount but I can live with that.
If your comes in around that price Supra, buy all means let me know

Ours will be allong the same thought process as the Troy MCS and CAS-14. If you can find a quality mount that will do that for under $100 then have it. If we can meet the $300 goal (no final commitment till production is ready to go) We'll be much much cheaper then the competition and available in Canada.

Remember the old addage "you get what you pay for", especially when it comes to M14 stuff.

Smith Enterprise has the 2014 for $125!!! That's a great deal as I payed $200 for my 2024 (they look the same to me). The only problem is you would need to get them into Canada as they don't ship here.

Bought one for that price and buy the time I got it ,it was really close to 200.00 CDN.Hey Katana what ever happened to that video you were working on about the M14s clinics

Well I hope you find luck with a cheap mount because I've replaced one already.....after being refered to them by "friends", who ended up pounding out scopes as well. Don't break the bank, but you rarely get lasting quality for cheap. ;)

Pound out a scope or two, and the $2-300 cost for a decent mount just became really cheap.

P & D has ARMS 18 mounts, lots of em'.I think they are the best M-14 mount, very low profile and strong. Should be slightly under $200.00!

my vote goes to ARMS 18 and I've tried more scope mounts than i want to admit :D
wasting money on cheap ass mounts is a big mistake I'll never make again

Hijack Warning

Hmmm... Yeah right, the M1A video. lol

To be completely honest, I haven't done a thing with it yet. I have made one that Tom (45ACPKING) still has (he's reviewing it with LAZ2000) but life has just gotten in the way and it has sorta been on hold. There are some segments that we want to redo.

I do intent to make all the finishing touches to it and make it availlable to everyone. Give me some more time fellas, I will get it done.

I'll be heading to Katana's ove the next few weeks to help him get the finishing touches on the DVD. The version I have here is good, but some of the background is too loud to hear the important stuff and other segments are too dark. Easily remedied but between Kim's busy schedule with work and family and my busy schedule working 2 jobs and my business........ this has fallen to the wayside.

We'll get it together hehehehe stay tuned
