Ithaca

I have already claimed the first 20 gauge featherweight 26" ,I hope this can be done they look to be high quality with nice wood.
 
I think that alot of these Ithicas would be used for upland, esp the featherweights.

They need to offer shorter bbls for this purpose. I'd consider a 20ga with a 23"-24" bbl.

I think that a featherlight 12G with a 26' BBL would be very nice. I'm a synthetic stock kinda guy, but that would be my fair weather, only on Sundays gun.

If they are anything like the old Ithacas, they should be a winner plus a nice option for a left hander.

Agree, a shorter OAL may have been great.

However, I noted earlier that the OAL is 45.6in for models with 26in bbl.....which is the same OAL as compared to the OAL of a Benelli Nova with a 24in bbl for example. That equates roughly to a 28in bbl'd sxs (so much for comparision ;)). I owned a 20ga Nova for a very brief while but found it's fore end to be bulky despite excellent finish and balance :)

Haven't yet seen a new Ithaca in person but the images do show good build quality and those fore end dimensions look very slim and nice for Wingshooting use unlike the other makes.
 
i watched the video for the deer slayer 111 and was realy inpressed thy are now theree inch guns and thy were shooting 200 yards with good slugs and doing very well DUTCH

Few will remember those great old doubles and their single trap guns, but their reputation among everyday shooters is the 37.
