Ruger 10/22 stock - S54 very nice! (New pic on Pg 2)

Ok so:

Ruger 10/22 Standard: $230
S-54 Stock: $200
CAR Buttstock: $65

Total: $495
(not including taxes and shipping)

Crap look's like I found my starting project and just keep using the .308NM for now!

Yep, to get the whole system going isn't too much money.

Just slap an inexpencive red dot on top, plus the stock and you're good to go :D

now how much was the magpul :p

I'm having a hard time deciding on this or the SVD'ish type for about $69:

Eventually I'd like to get both!

The stock was 97 bucks US from Brownells, then I had to get the Buffer tube (for 25 bucks or so) and the lock nut for 5 bucks, so overall it was around 150 to get the whole stock.

Did the CAR stock come with everything needed?

I've got the money needed, now I just need to wait for my PAL to pick up a 10/22....

No, the Magpul CTR did NOT come with anything but the "stock" portion. I actually had to order the buffer tube & lock nut on a seperate order since I thought it would. :(

You can get a regular M4/AR15 collapsing stock "kit" from Brownells for about 75 bucks, or I think Specter Arms sells them as well for 65 bucks CDN (you will have to check their website to confirm the price, since It was a while since I bought my S54)

What I meant was did the collapsible stock that you originally had come with everything? Stupid PAL taking too long.... :ar15:

Ohh :p, the original CAR stock I had on the S54 I stole off of another rifle to do some shooting with the 10/22, but I think i got it from P&D enteprises here in Edmonton, and it was the whole "kit" (with Stock, buffer tube and lock nut)

When I got the Magpul I put the stock back on the AR it came from.

Spectar Arms is in Edmonton wow , its about time someone started making something for our 10/22's in Canada!!!

Yeah its nice to be able to buy Canadian made stuff :D

Thanks for the compliment in your IM TrevorW :)

i like the sights and the price, but not the AR features on this set. should use the mp5 stock and grip but i'm sure the price would reflect the changes.

I think thats the biggest reason he ended up making it able to use AR15 parts.

He had some info on his Facebook page that he wanted to make an adaptor that would allow you to use an airsoft MP5 stock, but I dont think it ever took off.

He said his original idea was to make it use an integral MP5 style stock (the A2 stock) but it would have cost like twice the money to make them

Silly question; Is it made in Canada... or is it designed in Canada and produce oversea?

Its DESIGNED in Canada, and made overseas, IIRC.

From what I heard the injection molding places in Canada were asking 3-4 times as much to do the same thing

ETA

The guy said all the drilling & tapping for the buffer tube, the Alluminum rail, and such is done here, FWIW.
