Which are better quality and hunting ammo tolerant Green Mt etc.............I understand some have match chambers.Will the .920 fit factory stocks ?Thanx Harold

i use a 20" butler creek .920 fluted barrel, iirc green mountain makes the BC barrel to there specs, anyway shoots great, try www.fabsports.ca for barrels
the .920 barrel will not fit in a fatory stock, unless you want to sand it out

That's why I use a GM barrel. I don't want someone else cast offs. No BC are good but GM keeps the best of the batches for themselves and you pay a little more for them. to get GM barrels in Canada try Bit of Pieces or Fabsports.

Ill order directly from GM and have them sent to a relative Stateside.......I have a GM ball barrel for my .54 Renegade and it's a shooter..........Harold

I seem to see some threads saying barrels cannot be shipped from the US..

but a manufacturer (Tac Sol) wrote back to me saying shipping to Canada is no problem.

Only a U.S. State Department-registered Exporter may export it, and only with an Export Permit.

If they are registered and a permit is obtained, than it's no problem.

don't order directly from GM. their are several web sites that sell for much less than going through GM.

shootersdiscount.com has 20" stainless fluted .920 barrels for $125 and GM has them listed for $170

To bring that barrel to Canada you'll need an export permit from a licenced exporter; and you need an import permit (to get the export permit).

Bringing it across without permits is illegal and you risk serious consequences. This topic has been covered in depth (do a search), so read up and make sure you understand the rules to protect yourself.

FYI: I have a green mountain 20" barrel and I very much like it. It has a bentz chamber. It feeds no problem and very accurate.

Yes, you need to get an import permit from the canadian government. Google "excol". There is no charge.

Then you send the import permit to the american exporter. They will apply for the export permit. The fee structure has recently changed, and minimum fees for the export permit seem to be $250 USD. Your exporter may charge differently.

The process is not terribly difficult, but it does take a fair amount of waiting (and expense).
