This is an interesting rifle. It comes in 7.62x51 and .260 Remington and has a bunch of interesting design features like a left side charging handle, a "Low Mass Operating System" that makes it have felt recoil to that of a .223. It's barrels are also air gauged and cryo treated. Mags are compatible with the Knights SR-25 or DPMS LR-308 magazine. Upper and lower are machined from billet. List price is $2900 U.S.

JP makes nice stuff, but 223 recoil from a 7.62x51 is a fantasy. The low mass is just a low-weight buffer and carrier, and while it does reduce the felt movement, the bullet leaves the barrel the same as any other gun. Now the muzzle brake, that could reduce the felt recoil substantially.

I just quoted what was in their web site. I'd like to try one to see for myself. I couldn't find many range reports on line....not a good sign.....

I really like the left side charge handle. I'd like to see something like that in .223.
