The Shooting Edge - Monday Nights

Hey guys, is there any spectator seating at these shoots? I would like to see it sometime if possible.

Not only is there seating with a window view to the range, if you want one of the shooters will give you a run down on what is the object of each stage / skill being practiced. It's not uncommom to have spectators right in the range.

If you really want to make your trip worthwhile we have a full day match on January 18th at The Shooting Edge. There will be about 5 challenging courses of fire and about 60 shooters in attendance showcasing the right and wrong way to shoot stage. If you want to come down, I'd be more than happy to be your tour guide.

The indoor matches don't do the sport as much justice as the outdoor matches do, only because we can't do as much indoors due to considerations for the cement floors/walls and general space restrictions. That being said, the next match will at least give you some sort of idea of what it is all about, just take what you'll see and multiply the fun factor by (in my opinion) about a factor of 10 for the outdoor matches.

And I get to say that since I've been the match director for 4 of the last 5 indoor matches in Calgary, including the one upcoming on the 18th :)

That sounds great and I think I may be home from work around that date. I will definately take you up on that offer if I'm able to make it.

As 96Brigadier stated, outdoors is way better.

Think of it this way. Shooting indoors is like going to a tanning booth. Shooting outdoors is like going to a nude beach. :D
