I'm told that the CV-500 is being phased out and replaced by the CV-750. The Dillon site gives some details for the 750 but nothing for the 500. The Canadian supplier I'm buying from still has both in stock and the 500 is a little cheaper.

Is one better than the other?

All Dillon tumblers are great. I owned a CV-500 for about ten years before it gave out, had serious use! Loved it, was a great machine. When I bought a new tumbler last summer I went with the CV-2001 and haven't looked back. Now I can go to the range a few times without tumbling brass. When I do tumble, I can throw in 2000 .45ACP cases at a time. I love the capacity and the heavy duty motor on the CV-2001.

Check out the specs on the CV-750, I am not familiar with it, is its motor sealed and heavier duty than the 500? If so, I would think it would be a quality piece of equipment for anyone.

Dillon also stands by their stuff like nobody else in the business. Their CS is second to none. Buy with confidence!

Apparently it is. Here's the only other comment I could find on the Dillon site about it.

The new 750 motor is a larger, sealed motor. It runs on DC power, with a rectifier to turn AC power from the circuit into DC power for the motor.
