Remington '09 Catalogue

This may be close to the end of a long list of screw-ups for Remington; The 798-799 was the only line of guns that I would have bought from them. Oh well, I guess that all American companies have to get big 3'd eventually.

Did I miss the LVSF line, didn't see it in the catalogue?

the LVSF was listed on their site for 08, but they never did produce any. RIP to another great 700 model, make way for the VTR & XHR! :(

The Varmint SF looks ok.......stock is crap but at least it has a round barrel. Oh, and I am glad they made the 700 CDL SF Ltd in 257 Roberts a short action (has same specs as 7-08 model, so I assume...)

thats too bad about the 798.. those looked so slick, might have to hunt one down in H&H now before they are gone.

but who knows, maybe in 20 years people will be saying "mauser??? is that one of those old rifles with the round barrels?"

hahahaha

I wonder if they said the same thing about round barrels as they became more popular than the octagonal barrels?

I really like remongton rifles. every one I've owned shot under 1" @100yrs, never had any mechanical problems, they are light, simple, spartan...

but the last few years they have been destroying a thier product line with goofy ####. :(

sad.

?"

I've handled about a dozen of them. the roughest actions I have ever seen, bar none. feels like they were Machined by an epileptic with a hammer and chisel

What would we do without triangle barrels, that's all I'll say...
Well I for one would be able to stop barfing each time I see one

Unhunh, and putting the Rally Sport Pack on the 1972 Pinto made it alot better as well :D

I do actually like the fact the synth 750 is available in a 308 Carbine version... now if only they cut the price in half :D

Remingtons new advertisements...

EXTREME!!! TRIANGLE!!!! SUPER!! FLAT BLACK BLUING!!!! EXTREEEEEEEME!! MEGAAAAAA!!! AHHH SO AWESOME!

Remington...we're f*cking douche bags.

EDIT- I also like how they robbed the VSF of a Bell and Carlson stock in exchange for stainless construction. Now they got that floppy piece of crap on there...
