rimfire scope input please!

BSA sweet .22 with paralax. It does a fine job on my 10/22, and the mill dots are quite useful for accurate hold-over shots out to 200 yards.

i have a fixed 36 power weaver. t36 scope on my ruger heavy barrel 22 . all set up for a 100 yards .works well .

I had a VXII 3x9x33 rimfire EFR on my 22 (I don't have a 22 anymore). It held zero perfectly and the fine duplex and AO was great for target work. It cost a lot compared to other rimfire scopes but the pain of purchase soon fades once the unit is mounted and your at the range.

Figure out what you can afford then wait a few paychecks and get the next step up.

time to ressurect this thread, i just bought a remington nylon 66 off the EE, and want to scope it:)

in the past, i have always went with the big adjustable zoom and AO scopes, but for this i'm thinking about a leupold fx-I 4x28 or vx-I 2-7x28 rimfire, as i don't plan on shooting farther than 100 yards max, most likely less.

anyone have experience with either of these?

a center point 4-16x40 ao with a red and green 5 setting mil dot. its crisp and clear at all adjustments, for 60 bucks its a great deal for my remy 597 .22lr

my old $250 10/22 with a $60 bushnell sportview 3-9x, cheap bulk ammo and gopher headshots at 75yards. worked well for 15 years. buying overpriced optics isn't always the best idea unless you have money to burn.

Since China is producing the Bushell line from A to Z, I'd love to see what the real differences are on the inside between the $50.00 and $500.00 scopes. I'd bet that the mid range models would be quite similar to the higher priced ones. While I do believe you get what you pay for, I also believe that premium scopes are overpriced for the added clarity and imagined robustness over the cheaper models.

I too have been using the Bushnell Sportview 3x9 40 mm wide angle scope(made in Korea) on an inline and on one of my rifles for close to 7 years now. The scopes have great eye relief and the sight picture is easy to acquire. They are clear, bright at dusk and dawn, and very accurate. I paid $40.00 each (regular $109.00) at a Walmart end of line clearance! I figured what the hay, let's see how long they last and how good they can be.

I can see gophers in the grass with good optics that folks with cheap bushnell's can't. It is never a waste of money to invest in a good scope.

I put a cheap $30 2-7x32 tasco scope on my 10/22. It sucks, but for a field gun that I will rarely ever shoot beyond 70 yards, it does the trick.

last weekends range session.... 100 yards 10/22 custom race gun. Leupold VX-II 4-12 AO
