Any chance of these being sold? If not, is there anyone else interested in trying to build them? I really want to get drums for the Grizzly mag I will be buying sometime in the near future.

Something you need to consider is that civilian shotgun ammo uses plastic hulls. Shotgun ammo designed for full-auto guns (SPAS-12, Jackhammer, etc.) use brass casings so that the brass absorbs a lot of the heat (without melting and jamming) and then get's ejected from the receiver. I know you aren't looking at going full auto, but I thought I'd mention this in case you pictured yourself blasting thru a big drum mag of 12 gauge. Heat build up might be an issue if you go past 9 (?) quick rounds.

Knoxx made a 12 gauge drum mag for the mossberg 500, but quickly stopped selling it. Some say Knoxx couldn't manufacture the drums for a reasonable price and others say it had something to do with BATF. If you dig around, you might be able to find patent drawings or photo's on the internet that might provide some design ideas on how best to proceed with a Grizzly Mag Drum.

Good luck!

I think a longer magazine (8-10 rounds) would be a better idea, it would be easyer to build and cheaper, and it would look cleaner, also those mags would fit in existing mag pouches.

I'd love a drum mag for my grizz! The cost and logistics of designing and building a reliable functioning model far exceeds my abilities... but I can dream

maybe some kind of double stack mag would be easier, I see the longer mag being the easiest, but aesthetically not what I'd pick

a single stack 7rnd mag is pushing it as far as length go's...
a drum might pose some handleing issues BUT a double stack 10rnd mag would be the catz arse if you could get it to feed reliably with both 3" and 2 3/4" hulls.

keep in mind how much weight your adding with a higher capacity mag as well, everything includeing the mag release is going to take a heck of a pounding.

The Grizzly Mag shotguns are only 2 3/4" according to CanadaAmmo's website.
