What bipod??

Then I would go with the tallest Harris bipod, or for less money some shooting sticks. I use both and they have both worked well. I use a shorter Harris for at the range or my sandbags.

Versapod, sold by site sponsor Alberta Tactical Rifle, much better than the harris IMO

X2 or try Cabelas, as they have (had?) a special where the included an additional stock forearm mount with the versa pod so you could quick change the bipod between rifles in about 4 seconds with no tools.

Ive got a Harris on my main predator rig and am not happy with it at all. The one leg freezes up when I extend it and have a heck of a time getting it to move back. I also don't like that I can't put my rifle in its case when I go from one area to the next with out taking it off. (Harris are a pain to take off quickly)
I think the Versa-Pod is the best from people who have owned both and I plan on buying one soon.

If you go for the Harris, get a "25" in the 1A2 series or S (swivel), but stay away from the "25C". The 25C is too long for most prone shooting unless you are 6'4" with orangutan arms. I find the 25 1A2 to be the most stable in the field, prone or sitting, though many find the swivel on the S series useful saying the legs take too long to adjust. I have never found the leg adjustment to be problematic.

As for the shooters ridge copy of the harris, what a POS; I had one given to me and it seems the legs do not open to the same place / angle and therefore make the legs uneven from the start. I have seen a couple of others that come with those 10/22 Charger pistols (they must be from shooters ridge) and they had the same problem.

Can't say I have had a good look at the Versa-pods.

Cheers.

Thought I would post this for those unfamiliar with the Versapod, I have 2 of them and won't buy anything else.

Buy a bigger case! I've got several soft cases that easily hold a bipod equipped rifle.

even the highest harris is not good enough for me in hunting situations since im 6'1. tried one out and its a few inches short...

shooting sticks would be much better if you are taller but i just ended up making some collapsible shooting sticks out of aluminum arrows ;)
