Specifically I'm looking at a Sporter Competition HBar.

The Ser # puts in the early 90's vintage. (pre-ban, by U.S. standards) It has the detachable handle & scope base. I believe they were originally equipped with a rubber-coated 3x9 Tasco ?? This one has a 3x9 Bush Banner on it. Everything else is original. Round count is unknown, but appears to be in good shape.

The seller has mentioned a price but may be flexible.

I've checked this site for something similar for comparison, but no luck. Prices on U.S. gunboards seem all over the map. Any suggestions as to what to inspect, or an approx dollar value?

I'm more of a bolt-gun guy, so I know squat about these, but figured everybody should have at least one.

Thx.

Delta HBAR's had the scope in the package. What price did he mention?

Deltas R6600DH also had the cheek riser(?) - this does not. The R6700 had a detachable A2. The R6700CH had a detachable A2 and the 3-9x scope (I think). I'm still reading.

~$1500 +/-
It's not on CGN, nor is the seller a member.

That is half the price you would pay on this site. All colts are worth 3000$

In all seriousness, it seems to be a good deal to me.

I traded some stuff for an upper of one of those, then matched it with an A2 sporter lower. The cost of everything together was around $1100, but I'd say I got a great deal, considering A2 uppers with fixed carry handles go from a low of $1000 to a high of $1500 on the forums here.

$1500 for a complete rifle like that sounds par for the course for an A3/A4 upper on matching lower. Definitely not a very common rifle though.

price

Prices here in the US are steadily increasing. People are grabbimg them left and right. Hell I cant find an AK period, besides a price tag of 600 to on up. Good thing I bought my Krinkov parts kit before the #### was stirred. Ive had my Bushmaster lower now for maybe 3 years now, which is a good thing.

If I had the money I would buy it for $1500. If the gun is in decent shape and properly registered, I don't think you're in any danger of losing money on the deal.

Buy it you silly bugger!!!:D

If you don't buy it, I will. And I know where it is!! Right beside my CQ311.:p

By the way, remember all that 223 brass I gave you? Well.......now that I have the CQ311.......we may have to sit down and do some loading together!!!:ar15:

Later.....
