Looks very much like a standard AR with a short recoil buffer? and new butt stock. Mind you the receiver looks like its been reworked too cosmetically anyway.

Direct Impingement is the system by which the AR /M16 has always used. Eugene Stoner went with it to lessen weight,simplify the design and improve accuracy.
