For those of us that handload match rounds for COMPETITION , using all the latest components?
Such as the VV powders
Berger Bullets
Brass such as Lapua or Norma
And the STRONG Canadian dollar.
WHAT IS THE COST TODAY PER ROUND????????????

Rough guess: say 65 cents for Lapua .308 brass, 50 cents for Sierra MK's, 25 cents worth of Varget, whatever a single primer costs... we're at $1.40 a round already, at least. Still, I'd say it's worth it. What does factory match ammo cost these days? Besides, what price the enjoyment and satisfaction of rolling your own?

My dad used to say that shooting was a rich man's game...
I just wish he hadn't said that in front of my wife!

There are some things that you are probably better off not knowing. This is one of them.

"...the STRONG Canadian dollar..." It isn't any more. One Loonie is worth about 80 cents U.S. as of today. In any case, reloading isn't about cost. It's about using the best possible ammo in your rifle.
