Russian SKS45 long thread.

Good morning all, wow, another 12 pages since I checked in last night! We need a chat room I think. I can honestly say that we'll hit 3000 posts until we see or hear anything from SIR. I have a little hope for finding a Russian SKS at the Montreal gun show this Saturday, who knows?!
 
Holy ass...lotsa posts since I checked back. Anyway..is my gun here yet? I dont think it does me anygood to check my card because it dosnt update in forever for some reason. =(

I think I'll just call monday to see if my order has been shipped

Was just at frontier and picked up one (they are closed the next 2 days but I called ahead). Picked up a nice unissued IZH for $210.00. I guess there was a few people who canceled because they would rather get a refurb paint job from SIR, whos price is not even set and there is no signs of the rifles yet. Thanks Currton and all those who opened up a spot for me!!!!

Same here, it takes usualy 2-3 business days to update my CC transactions...

will phone Frontier Monday, and if my order shipped will ask for tracking # I can't afford my most wanted SKS to be left on the doorsteps by some delevery dude

it we keep going like this we may hit 3000 before the frontier sks get to our door step, come on let set a new rocorder on here. lol

btw val you shouldn't be bored when this thread is over, you'll have lots of rifles to shoot and clean, plus in many a years to come you'll have the epic story of the elusive Russian sks to tell your grandchildren. There will be years of enjoyment from this adventure.

Ok this thread grew to fast and I cant remember. I have one on order from Frontier and one on order from SIR (Cabelas) which supplier has refurbished ones and which one has the unissued ones?
 
I just spok wit the guys at Frontier and they said that the IZH shipment had un-issued and re-furbs in it, they also had 2 grades to pick from in the IZH batch. They are now sold out of any IZH rifles they had got. :eek:(

They will be getting a Bell shipment in 1 weeks time and there is only 1 grade of quality for $229.95 shipped. They are still taking orders for this shipment. I think im gonna hold off ordering from this Bell shipment, cause he even said that no one knows what they will be like. I am not looking for laminated stocks and painted metal, so why would I dive right in blind like this.

Sure this is old news to some of you but, just following up what I learned today. PS I heard what sounded like a Canada Post truck ideling in the loading bay!!!
