Not the exact way i wanted to do it, but i got my bear! Pic heavy!

I bet you couldnt get a needle into your butthole with a jackhammer!!! Freaky! And I had heard that these things were just coming over because they wanted to be petted!

Great story, too bad the pics are not there anymore. One question? Have you confimed your POI @ the 50 feet that you shot the bear? If a rifle is sighted in for longer distances, the different POI at such a short distance may have contributed in part to the first shot not going where you intended. A 7" 20+" bear is nothing to sneeze at. Were you hunting somewhere near Kitamat? I used to go to Kemano as a boy for salmon fishing and we would see so many bears it was not funny. My father witnessed and photographed a fight between a black and a similar sized grizzly, and if memory serves me right, the black won.

It dose shoot low at 50 feet. I found that out the next time I whent to the range..... And I was down the Nass. And Ill get the pics back up. they were just moved around in photobucket....

Nice bear dude! If you are at 50 ft you might want to adjust to a 300m zero next time.I'm guessing it was a 100m zero? The difference is between the scope and the bore that made that shot go low.Next time trust your shooting! ;)

Congrats! Great story. What happened in your case may happen with anyone. IMHO, a rifle with iron sights zeroed would've perfomed better in such particular scenario.
