Well, Mark at Can Am just dropped me a line and (this should never surprise me), it's the Ontario CFO's office that is the cause of delay.
I so hate this province...

Why did it go to our wonderful CFO?......................still waiting on mine.

Both my outlaw and backpacker arrived today by mail....

oh. my. god.

This stubby double gave me a hard on instantly - the barrels seem really short at 13"

Really love how CanAm had 'Non-Restricted' actually engraved into the underside of the barrel. "Look here you naysaying C.O./R.C.!!" :D Brilliant

Taking it out tomorrow first thing

AAA+ Wood is beautiful and they appear to be well built and very tight

Triggers are heavy and leave a lot to be desired, but oh well, it's a shottie

Here's some pics;

I got my backpacker yesterday and am very impressed! Takedown and assembly literally only takes a few seconds and the longest of the pieces (the stock) is only about 15 inches long (OAL is just over 28 inches), so it can easily be stored and transported around. The fit and finish is great and the price is the best thing about it. Just have a towel handy when you take it out of the box because it will warrant a good wipe down. When funds permit, I plan to pick up his big brother, as well.

Thanks again, CanAm!

Can you shoot 3" slugs through it?

You can but would you want to. The recoil from that would definitely kick quite a bit especially from the single barrel shotgun. There isn't alot of weight there to help with the recoil. I am sure one of you on here will try it and report back about it along the the trip to the emergency room to have your shoulder relocated.

I've got next week off, and my tracking number tells me it's en route as of the 14th. I assure you, the outlaw will see probably about 20 each slugs and buckshot, in addition to at least 100 el Cheapo trap loads. Just has to get here now.

Of course I am a bit of a glutton for punishment, and I kind of like recoil in a sick sort of way, so the light weight won't deter me a whole lot. If I remember I'll take the camera out with me and have some vids of it in action.

I thoroughly enjoy recoil too for some weird reason, the more the better.

Don't know what buddy was saying about not wanting to shoot slugs through a light gun...?? not like 12 gauge is even that big of a punch anyway

Canam, any chance the people who did the wood for these could do cheap, non-checkered wood sets for 870s?
