Russian SKS45 long thread.

I could... but I could also buy bullets and develop loads with diff powders :)

Wonder what the Norc Bushranger is like, accuracy wise?

I'd love to develop a precision '7.62x39' rig, if that's possible, lol. I know it won't get out far, but it would be fun to piss with.

Picked up an SKS (laminate refurb) with case of ammo from Milarm Edmonton today. In the last couple of days, they have sold over 75 of the 200 that they brought in. The guys behind the counter didn't know much about the rifles, and the pricing seemed to be all out of whack. When I called yesterday, the guy I spoke with told me their "top of the line" sold for $225. When I got there, there was another customer there with 2 e-mails from Milarm with two difference prices (one for $275, and the other for $300). The lowest rifle was selling for $200 and the top looked like it was going for $275. I paid $250 for mine. Oh well, they probably haven't had much time to get their act together considering the demand is so heavy for these rifles...and communication amongst the staff does normally seem to be an issue over there.

Mine has a matching stock and receiver, but the rest looks electroplated. ( CAVEAT...I don't know much about this stuff, whatever I learned was on this thread!!) ;)

Anyway, I finally got one, and I can't wait to try it out...now I just have to wait for the Frontier order and the SIR order.

yeah, they are complete mess with prices. here is the e-mail from them:

Remember they are not .308 dia bullets . I was thinking of one of those bolt guns a wile ago . Lots of people say they are not that good . And the price seems a bit on the high side

Yeah 400-500 is enough for that particular rifle. It'd be fun to piss around with a nice tacticool 7.62x39 bolt gun though I think... But most just shoot the round like .22LR for plinking so I don't think that the demand would be there to produce such a rifle.

I wonder if he has even ordered a SKS or just hear to talk to Val ?
LOL
