well, after lots of thought and comparisons, I decided to go with the Browning High Capacity. Im very familiar with Mossbergs ( 500's and 590's) and have also used the Remington 870's quite a bit.

the fit of this gun is excellent, the front bead sight is very large and the action is ultra smooth. 20" barrel, bottom feed and eject, 7+1 capacity with a very smooth trigger pull.
The barrel seems to be a little thicker than what I am used to, and the gun feels rock solid. It is very quiet, and does not rattle much at all.

when I got it home today and stripped her down to clean out all the packing grease, I was pleasantly surpirsed with the quality of the internal parts. The only plastic on the gun are the forestock and buttstock. everything else is metal.

I was told there was a very limited supply of these in Canada, as Browning brought them out as a demo or something....here's a few pics for those who havent seen one of these yet:

I love the safety and the Ambidexterity.
I played with one at SIR and would have got one if I didn't already have 2 combat pump-actions.
Now I NEED a coach gun.

Nice SG... was looking into getting one. Still thinking about it. They seem to be really good bang for the buck, and I like them better then the Remington and Brownings...

I have had one for over a year, and have run a couple thousand rounds through it they are incredible guns I paid.440.00 nothing else even comes close. I don't know why they aren't more popular, probably because they aren't covered with pic. rails and other so called 'tacticool' garbage.

how many shells does yours hold...does it look the same as above photos?/QUOTE]

4+1 in the chamberr.. it looks vary close just with wood stock/forend. 30" barrel.. would like somthing with more capacity.. any idea if i could put an extended mag tube on it .. sorry if im leading this thread off.

Looks good. I've been wanting one since they came out.

I prefer the ergonomics of the Mossbergs, and I like my Ithaca 37's as well. This seems to combine the best of both systems and is probably the most ergonomic and ambidextrous of all the shotties out there.

Limited run? I sure hope not, last I checked they were on the Browning website as a regular model.

Wish they'd done a couple of things different though, I would have gone for an 18" barrel that finishes flush with mag tube. Why they want the barrel sticking out an extra half inch or so is beyond me. 18" would probably reduce shell capacity by one but I'll take the handier length anyday.

Why Cylinder choke? I'd probably be looking into getting the barrel done with the Vang Comp mods or maybe just threaded for chokes.

I'd also add rifle sights or a set of ghost rings.

Is that trigger gold plated? What is up with that?

its a great shotgun for the money has especailly for an all steel fully machined gun its a stell. Has most of the add ons and parts standard. I just bought one from SIR who has them on sale for 419.00 which is a price that cannot be beat for a home defense tactical shotgun for the that price.
