SHOT.................Glock G4 serrations and grip texture

Jesus.... before I saw these pics I thought there was nothing uglier than a Glock... they've managed to outdo themselves, that's for damn sure.

I hope these "improvements" don't make it to the new G29SF and G20SF.

The grip is nice and sticky. Not sure how long it will last though.
I had a tougher time racking the slide off off belt with the new serrations than with the original. The lack of a sharp edge on the top of the slide and the rounded cuts make it difficult to operate one handed.

You think now that they made it uglier it is also more reliable? I don't think so, not possible. :D

No, there are tons of good and reliable guns in the market, why pay the same money on a ugliest piece in the world? If Glock would have listen to the sound from Glock Talk, Glock will take more market share than before but I don't think I will ever buy one more now.

I've always thought Glock pistols were very attractive looking...that said - I think THIS version looks like a girlie gun. :p

The earlier the version, the better I like the Glock's appearance.

Get used to it guys! It will be in police holsters and in shooters hands at your range EVERYWHERE!!!!

Yup, figures.... Saturate the market with the first 3 gens of Glocks, then the only thing to do to sell more is to change the esthetics to make everyone believe they have to have the latest thing.....

Boggles the mind that they wouldn't make more changes. The ambi mag release on the 21SF is the first real step forward they've made in practical design in... what... 10 years??

Reminds me of iPod. They keep changing and coming out with newer models. I must admit I actually don't mind the look of it but you never know until you see it and handle it in person. Some things grow on you. Could I also be drinking the Glock Cool-Aid? Well maybe a little but I'm not the only one dammit!!! :onCrack:

I went back and fiddled with it a couple more times. The grip texturing is pyramid shaped so although the tips may wear down a bit over time the stickiness should remain. The texture on the front end was far superior to the older Gen 2 or Gen 3.
I'm not sold on the slide serrations though.
