Yugo M-59/66 SKS's value?

Were they not $379 when Marstar had them? Or was it $349?

Key words there are "When they had them..." Just wait till the Russian SKS supply dries up & see what happens to the price!

The M14S supply is just about to run out @ dealers smaller dealers, Marstar is out... I would hazard a guess that within 5 years we will see M14S rifles selling for $750 NOS (new old stock)...

I'm no sure what all the hoopla is over the 59/66. The grenade attachment is clunky and the gas valve is difficult to clean after firing corrosive ammo, hence why many of them leak and reliability suffers.

For the collector/shooter, the M59 is built identically in quality, but is the basic and more reliable SKS-45 design pattern. This is the yugo I would most recommend. (they are also rarer)

Not sure what a nice M59 is selling for these days...? I think I pad in the $400 range for this one a ways back. It had not been fired since it was last gooped in cosmolene and is virtually new.

My wrapped new in grease M59/66AB1 cost 329.00 back in the day. Still sitting wrapped and greased, have not been able to bring myself to unpack and degrease it.

Somebody deleted that thread - I might be wrong, as typing before the morning coffee is a bad idea...:p
