What?!?!?!?! Man you are unlucky!!

BUSTA CAPP ! You are the man!:D

It's amazing how fast ones luck can change..

there I was kinda bummed out, thinkin my norc was gonna a be sittin in my safe for at least a month, til I got parts and then BAM.. Busta comes thru for me.

Did you find it in the messed up snow or the virgin snow?
When I was looking for it I thought i was sitting at the second bench from the right.. I noticed after the pics were posted that I was actually sitting at the first bench.

anyways, extreme thanks and compliments on your digging skills.

i'll be in touch.

I took a shovel and did some sweeps around the bench to the side where I was standing and in front where the brass landed. When I dug around where your brass landed, I came up with a few more pieces of brass, so I thought it would be around there. When I got down close to ground level, it came up in one of the shovels (plus quite a few .22 cases...) You are a lucky guy, time to buy a lotto ticket ;)

Harry_Blackbeaver: I'm happy as heck that you got home in one piece. Super happy that your glass bedding job (welfare approach used here ;) ) worked out super well. Now you are on your way, just like Wobbles99 to becoming a glass bedding expert. That's just wonderful.

Also, I'm super happy that you like that story about the CGNutter at our night shoot in a northern gun club range when the shooter yelled, "Stop, or I'll BAM BAM BAM BAM BAM"

Reloads the M4 carbine with weapon light....

"I told you to stop and BAM BAM BAM BAM BAM"... reloads the M4 once again..... :D

"Don't you understand ENGRISH? Learn to speak it BAM BAM BAM BAM BAM"... as the reloads happen....

"Gooks in the WIRE!!".... SureFire G2 illuminates the targets.....

"Fzck YOU GI!" BAM BAM BAM BAM BAM BAM BAM BAM BAM BAM , then reloads the Browning HP 9mm

And that's why I love teaching these M14 clinics... You all gotta be there to get the jokes....

I just wanted to share some fruits of the clinic's labour on my Norc.. After a day of shooting this is my best result:

3 Shot group, 150GR Remington surplus ammo, 100 yards from the bench on my iron sights with my poor vision in the middle of a snow storm (sorry about the poor picture quality, took it with my Mac's camera).

Maybe I have horse shoes or something, but needless to say I'm happy with my bear gun!

Barnie,
Thanks for a fantastic day. That was tons of fun and VERY informative. Love your approach. "Just the facts, ma'am." I'll be along for another clinic in the future, for sure. Two thumbs up.

Was good to meet all the enthusiastic CGN'rs, and Greentips his own self.

Cheers lads and straight shootin!

thats a negative gnmontey... both springs (plunger and ejector) stayed in place long enough for me to salvage them.

You are one lucky SOB! Glad to hear it all worked out in the end. What went wrong? Was the bolt assembled improperly?

not sure.. the first time it happenned was at the end of november as per the following link...

http://www.canadiangunnutz.com/forum/showthread.php?t=292389

I put the bolt back together at that time and i went back to the range a couple of times since then..
I put about 50 or 60 rounds thru it with no problems..

i've had this rifle for about 5 years and i lost track of how many rounds it's fired..
I inspected the parts that i have right now to check for wear but i cant see any sign of it.. I'll give the extractor the once over when i get it back..

I'm going to order a couple of spares of each part regardless.

hey nutters,

just wondering if any of you guys picked up a pair of black mechanics gloves at the clinic. i brought em in so we could use them when making shims, as the shim stock was very sharp and i had noticed someone had cut up their hands. they are black with white lettering on them and they fasten with velcro. so if someone has any idea where they may be...just pm me..

thanks

cheers & beers
