This happened about two years ago, but I thought I'd put this out there just for interest's sake.

The gun was my grandfather's Cooey 12g, and it hadn't been fired in about 50 years. It's wood was pretty beat up, and I figured, why not take her out for a shoot? It appeared to be sound, bore was smooth, no pitting, and there was no visible damage to the barrel. The shot was 2 3/4" BB steel, and the gun had a full choke which had been designed for lead (there's yer problem!)
I have to ask my buddy for some winning lottery numbers, because he called what was going to happen before the shot was fired!
