Is there any popular and recently produced rifle with a Mosin or Enfield action?

Pretty much everything that we deem true Milsurp (Enfields, Nagants, Mausers) are all trench proven and mud baptized. Other than them the next "do anything, anywhere, anytime" action would be the AK 47.

There are LOTS of other examples of ultra-reliable firearms. Here are some:

- Sten MkII (reliable, if ugly and cumbersome)
- Sterling SMG (fixed the main issues of the Sten)
- FN-FAL (It was the AK of the west for 30 years)
- XM-8 (not battle tested, but reliable as hell)
- M1 Garand (most reliable semi-auto battle rifle, possibly of all time)
- Arisaka (unbreakable by PO Ackley - 'nuff said)

And on and on and on...
 
Enfied with a rimless cartridge I would put at #1....#### on closing I would consider to be superior reliability to the mosin or mouser actions, but the rimmed cartridge can cause problems.
So out of these choices, I would have to go with the mouser, enfield, and the mosin shouldn't even be on the list :)
US M1917 I would say would be the #1 most reliable military bolt gun ever made. #### on closing mauser action with a rimless cartridge, doesn't get any better then that.

The older Mauser 93, 95, 96 actions #### on closing, while the 98 cocks on opening.
#### on closing is a simpler mechanism, and it makes extraction seem easier, there must have been a good reason for Mauser to redesign its actions to #### on opening.
One point that I haven't noticed mentioned yet, and that I have personally experienced with both the Enfield, and #### on closing Swedish Mausers, is that unless the safety is engaged all the way to the third position to lock the bolt, the #### on closing actions are prone to opening and even ejecting the chambered round when they are carried slung. I think that the ability to keep a round chambered and ready to go is a pretty important aspect of reliability.
 
Of course if you are in Finland you would want to have a silencer and a scope on your Mosin. :D

The LE/P14/M1917 have an easily manipulated 2 position thumb safety that solves this issue.
