Russian SKS45 long thread.

Still no dice on my notification... :(

the DHL notification i got was useless, the tracking number still shows 'information submitted electronically' in saskatoon

the notice that was left on my door on the other hand, has a tracking number that actually shows where the package came from and where it is

well now I hope my rifles are with DHL, and its not just the crate of ammo..... the weight and size on the original DHL shipping notice was the exact same as a crate of czech ammo though

I guess it'll be shipped via CP... Marlin said today that I should have the notification, but no dice... nothing in my spam folder either. :(:(:(

Hey grayrc, two very nice SKS's there. Both look like they are original condition non refurbs. I can see one date is 1953, what is the other?

TeaPot2, what does the website say about those two carbines? It is my understanding that Russian citizens cannot own a semi automatic firearm. What is the story on those two?

Nice Rifles guys... makes me wish I bought more than 2. Thinking about buying 2 more.. but screw it. That money is best spent elsewhere... like on an AR15.

they can, but they have to be members of the hunting clubs. to became one is not always easy but real. Hunting version of SKS has a pin inserted through the hole in the barrel drilled under the gas tube. the pin is just a fraction longer than the barrel wall. Thus, the bullet will have close to unique scratch...when russians register their rifles the test fired bullet and case are collected by police and stored in database along with the owner info...Also hunting version don’t have bayonet, and lug is removed...

I was thinking of buying a shooter... but I might shoot the one I have coming unless it's unfired. If unfired, it'll remain unfired and proudly take it's throne on the wall :)

when you hear what the russian and american do to their SKS , we are pretty lucky to them unmolested, well ... almost except for the mag but thats small compared to them.
