The post from this thread that Samsung was referring to did indeed bring the quality of Norinco 1911's into question so it was fair IMHO to refer to the 1911 issue.

Samsung is correct in pointing out that Gunnar is a fan of Norinco 1911's.

Running down newbies, while it may be a time honoured CGN tradition, is still a poor way to make a point. I have been impressed by your knowledge of SxS shotguns and give weight to your posts that are based on your SXS experiences rather than on the number of posts under your belt.

I asked if anyone knew how or if the Chinese proofed their guns. So far, no answers, not even from the people selling them.

As for questioning the quality of the oil that was prompted by a post in this thread when a poster said it smelled faintly of "horse shyte."

Let's just hope the Chinese aren't recycling oil from aging transformers to ship these guns. But if they'll poison the milk of their own children to make an extra yuan I wouldn't put anything past them.

I think that "AAA+" wood deserves a nice finish. "Horse shyte" just doesn't do it justice.

After attacking other gun owners, now you are on our dealers? You post the question on 10:00PM Friday night and demanding answer 10 hours after? Shameless you are.

FYI, Chinese guns have been sold to European countries for decades. So, Chinese guns are "therefore approved for sale in Europe where proof standards are very high".

This tread is starting to smell like "horse shyte"...too bad because I think claybuster and win have some valid concerns mixed in with their disdain for Chinese guns.

That's just protective oil, and yes it doesn't smell like flower.

If a firearm is too dirty for you to handle, you should join Yuppie community.

Leave firearms to our dirty, cold hands.

I've cleaned presevative oil off many firearms and not once did it smell like horseshyte. To the contrary the smell was quite pleasant and not objectionable whatsoever.

Depending on what is in that oil or where they got it from someone might be taking that gun from your dirty, cold, prematurely dead hands.

I guess only time will tell. I really do hope these guns treat you guys right. I really don't want to see anyone hurt by one. As far as my disdain for Chinese guns go. I would feel the same about any gun that looks to be poorly constructed. I see there is already one for sale on the ee.

It's very nice and touching to see two of you report "dangerous gun" - simply based on the fact you don't like it.

And I can see claybuster created a safety argument simply because he don't even know if there is a proof standard. Then he "assumed" gun maker doesn't have one, because the firearm dealer didn't answer it on board on Sat morning.

The fact is, Marstar has had them in Canada for 10 years.

So, stop harassing other gun owners and firearm dealers, go away!
