New Deer Hunting Regulations Proposed for Ontario

Here in Ottawa we have deer grazing at the Ministry of Agriculture R&D facility and they frequently cross the 417 and casue problems, not to mention accidents.

Longer bow and primitive weapon season is what is required to knock the size of the herd down here.

I have sent my comments along to the MNR.
 
How about an apprentice/mentor only hunt similar to a controlled hunt but all hunters would be accompanied by a licsensed apprentice and share one gun? Lets say 3rd week of December so the youngsters wouldn't have to miss school, and alot of mentors already have time off for holiday season.

That is a good idea. You should submit the idea to the MNR during this period of consultation.
