** Blowing up a deer ** must see video ( trust me it is cool )

How come it's isn't blowing spew from the bullet hole? I'm with Levi, I'll use my knife. Besides buy the time I get it to a compressor whole, I won't want to eat if.
 
That is how they did it at this one animal recycling place on Dirty Jobs (was the last episode I think). They cut a slit and pumped her full of air and you could see the skin separating.
 
Interesting, I know lots of guys who skin before they gut, these are guys who can be home with the deer and have it hanging in 15 minutes. I'll have to mention it to them. I don't have a good way to deal with the guts if I take mine home whole, so I leave them in the field, no matter how fast I can be home. Skinning first does work well though, you can case them like a coyote, keeps down the amount of hair you have to clean off very considerably.
 
years ago I shot a nice fat two point on opening day [early september]I went back to the camp, got breakfast for my wife and kids then went back ,maybe a couple of hours later and gutted the deer-which was just starting to bloat.It should have been excellent,but it just wasn't good,and I never made that mistake again-I gut them immediately and get the hide off and cooled down as soon as I can.
 
Looks like it could help make the skinning a lot easier with less pulling. Lately we've been doing the deboning of meat right on the deer without gutting it first. Saves a ton of time and cleaning. Easier clean up afterwards too.
