I found some 223 brass at the range and decided to clean and use it but some of it is winchester and some Im not sure what it is.
One kind is head stamped IVI 223 rem and the other has C J 16. What kind are these?
I also found one that has W-W super 223 rem. Are any of these good brass?
Any info would be appreciated.

W-W is the Winchester mark (Winchester-Western) Good brass, of coarse.
IVI is also good brass.
When using different brands of brass, you should weigh them, to see if they are about the same capacity.
If two different kinds weigh close to the same, they can be interchanged, that is, used with the same charge.
If one kind is much heavier, say more than 10% heavier, that means it will have less capacity for powder, and may require a bit of a reduction in powder.

I'm using mainly hornady and winchester. Each for a different bullet wieght and charge.
I'm one of those lucky guys who can shoot out to about 600yrds by walking out the front door and sitting at the bench 50yrds from my front door :D so the odd time that I do go to the outdoor range or buddies do, they pick up the 223 brass left there and give it to me:). I don't have much of this stuff but as it accumulates I may start to use it. Thanks for the info
